The “Built Ford Tough” Expedition has a sharp presence, thanks to its raised hood, lowered roof height and versatile styling. One styling cue that supporters enjoy is the look and finish of integrated front and rear bumpers which flow smoothly into the overall design. With maximum scale seating area, and the noticeable and large windshield, the side-windows and rear window are visual stands-outs. For years, the monster truck world has used the 2005 Ford Expedition as a standard issue SUV body for competition, shows and displays. Now, with JConcepts its possible to transform the look to the RC world for world-class performance and class leading looks.

Options are key and with a range of sizing, wheelbase requirements, the Expedition by JConcepts fits several trucks currently on the market, including the Losi LMT. One bonus of an SUV body is the space for doors and windows but also available space for decorative paint and decal schemes.  On the design side, it is important to have large wheel well openings on monster trucks and the design have incorporated that into all 4 corners to provide all important looks and clearance. The flares from the Expedition are built into the concept to maintain its scale like appearance. The front and rear-end have sculpted features for included headlight, grille and taillight decals allowing it to look the part either in plain garb or fully elaborate custom painted scheme. The new body pairs nicely with JConcepts tires like Renegades, Firestorms, Golden Years, and JCT’s wrapped on the famous Tribute wheels for monster truck competition.

A highly edged rocker-panel adds rigidity to the shell and realism to the design which blends perfectly into the fender flares. On the roof, you will find the bossed louvers which appear on the scale vehicle but also help strengthen the roof of the vehicle of the RC counterpart. Perhaps the most caring detail of the Expedition is the window treatment where the design has recessed sections throughout which the user can choose to mask out with included masks or wrap over or cover with paint. 

Included in each body set, a clear and heavy-duty polycarbonate body, decal sheet and the paint mask for all windows. As always, each body set is backed with JConcepts customer support and racing heritage.
